Forever Friends Jax is an independent nonprofit organization created to support animals at Jacksonville Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS).
We raise private charitable donations to provide supplies, enrichment, and other resources that benefit animals in the shelter.

Why was Forever Friends Jax created?
The needs of a busy municipal animal shelter are continually changing and can extend beyond what existing resources and programs are able to provide.
Forever Friends Jax was created to help fill those gaps and provide an additional way for the community to directly support shelter animals.

Is Forever Friends Jax part of the City of Jacksonville or ACPS?
No. Forever Friends Jax is an independent nonprofit organization. It is not a department of the City of Jacksonville or ACPS.
ACPS communicates current needs to Forever Friends Jax, and our organization determines which of those needs we can support based on our mission and available resources.

Are donations to Forever Friends Jax tax-deductible?
Yes. Forever Friends Jax is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.

What happens to money donated to Forever Friends Jax?
Donations to Forever Friends Jax are used to further our charitable mission of supporting animals at ACPS.
Forever Friends Jax follows Board-approved financial controls governing organizational expenditures and maintains financial records and supporting documentation.

Are Forever Friends Jax board members paid?
No. Forever Friends Jax board members serve without compensation.

Does Forever Friends Jax accept or rehome animals?
No. Forever Friends Jax is not a shelter or rescue organization and does not accept or house animals.
